MINNEAPOLIS – April 7, 2026. Winthrop & Weinstine is pleased to announce that Micah J. Revell and Claire M. Williams have joined the firm as shareholders in its Energy and Environmental practice. Bringing significant experience in renewable energy regulation, clean energy development, environmental compliance, natural resources law, and land use and permitting, their arrival strengthens Winthrop’s established Energy and Environmental practice and enhances its ability to support clients navigating complex regulatory landscapes and the rapidly evolving clean energy sector.
Micah brings a broad practice spanning transactional, regulatory, and dispute-related work in the energy and environmental sectors. He represents developers, utilities, investors, and other stakeholders in renewable energy project development, financing, and operations. His experience includes structuring project agreements, advising on permitting and compliance, and representing clients in administrative and judicial proceedings on energy and environmental matters. Micah earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, with honors, where he was the Executive Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Boyce College.
Claire focuses on helping clients navigate energy and environmental regulatory requirements at both the state and federal levels. She advises on permitting, land use, and compliance for renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including wind, solar, and transmission development. Claire also guides clients through evolving regulatory frameworks and provides practical counsel on navigating agency processes and enforcement trends. Claire earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, where she was the Senior Articles Editor of the Minnesota Law Review, and her B.A. from Grinnell College.
Together, Micah and Claire expand the firm’s ability to deliver comprehensive counsel across the full spectrum of energy and environmental matters – from project development and regulatory compliance to litigation. Their arrival positions Winthrop to meet growing client demand in these fast-changing areas.
