Tami Diehm Named a 2026 “Women in Business” Honoree by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

MINNEAPOLIS – March 5, 2026. Winthrop & Weinstine is proud to announce that firm president and shareholder, Tammera “Tami” Diehm, has been named as a 2026 “Women in Business” honoree by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. For nearly three decades, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal has recognized the Twin Cities’ most influential women, including industry-leading executives, entrepreneurs and business owners for their professional accomplishments and community involvement.

In her dual role as Winthrop’s president and a real estate shareholder within the firm, Tami has established herself as a leader in the Twin Cities’ legal industry. As president, Tami has overseen significant growth of the firm’s bench – increasing Winthrop’s attorney headcount by nearly 30% over the past five years – with a targeted strengthening of the firm’s financial services and tax practices. Tami has also led the firm’s real estate strategy. While many organizations have reduced their office footprint in recent years, Winthrop has expanded its investment in downtown Minneapolis through a notable expansion of its physical office space. Bringing Tami’s vision to life, the firm’s expanded workspace supports team collaboration, employee well-being, and an enhanced client experience.

In her legal practice, Tami’s professional excellence has been widely recognized. She is an elected fellow of both the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (an invitation-only association bringing together the nation’s finest real estate lawyers) and the American Bar Foundation (a national honor society recognizing attorneys, judges, and scholars with demonstrated dedication to the principles of the legal profession), and has been ranked in numerous local and national directories, among her many accolades.

The “real world” impact of Tami’s work and service among our community is far-reaching. She has been instrumental in strengthening Winthrop’s pro bono culture, growing the firm’s engagement with LegalCORPS, Minnesota’s only business law legal aid organization, and nearly doubling the number of attorneys volunteering at least 50 hours of pro bono service over her tenure. She also remains committed to mentoring women within the legal profession and those considering elected office, and she regularly speaks to students, mentors young women, and graciously shares her time through one-on-one conversations and shadowing opportunities.

Please join us in congratulating Tami for this well-deserved recognition!
