The article is a Q&A guide to an insurer’s duties to defend and indemnify claims and losses in Minnesota under commercial general liability (CGL) policies. The Q&A addresses state laws, court cases, and customs that impact the duties to defend and indemnify, when the duties are triggered and what they encompass, the scope of the duties, notice requirements, policy interpretation, defense and attorneys’ fees, and duration.
