My Approach

Solutions begin with an appreciation of perspective and purpose. With nearly 20 years of experience in the corporate and securities space, as both outside and inside counsel, I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to manage and solve problems for my clients from different vantage points.  During my time as in-house counsel for public companies, most recently as General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary of a publicly-traded foreign private issuer, I understood the importance of unwinding complexity to find fast and simple solutions that advance the business strategy.  Advising businesses of various sizes, from startup energy companies to Fortune 500 semiconductor manufacturers, has trained me to keep things simple and not talk over anyone’s head.

I’m fundamentally a pragmatist.  If you’re at the table with me, you can feel confident that I have taken the time to understand your goals and that I’m crafting a legal solution to achieve them.  Whether you need support structuring a complicated cross-border M&A transaction, navigating compliance or governance issues, or simply answering your day-to-day questions, I’m here to help you get the answers you need as efficiently as possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy taking time for self-reflection, improvement, exercise, and learning to speak Spanish and Italian. I’m particularly interested in learning all I can about startup businesses and you’ll frequently find me listening to audiobooks on the subject.  I enjoy creative and active ways to stay in shape, including Krav Maga classes, hiking, and going for a ride on my Peloton bike.
