I with with for-profit, non-profit and housing authority clients in real estate and tax credit financing, including transactions involving low income housing tax credits. My work spans the entire life of a real estate transaction, from organizing and forming deal-specific entities and initial due diligence, to closing and post-closing matters. I work with clients on acquisitions involving both new construction as well as rehabilitation projects. This work often involves a complex financing from multiple public and private partners involved in the transaction. I also have experience representing real estate clients on the sale side of a transaction and in the refinancing of existing projects in client portfolios.
My Approach
My favorite aspect of my work is the ability to solve problems and deliver functional solutions for client needs. It’s important to look at a complex set of facts and identify a narrow path forward, filtering the information to help clients implement a decisive and successful approach. In the business world, time is money; I work with my clients to understand their needs, and provide the best options quickly and efficiently.
In my practice, I partner with for-profit and non-profit clients to develop a variety of real estate projects, primarily involving tax credit financed affordable housing. I help clients throughout the life of the transaction, from initial due diligence through to closing and beyond. My approach centers around understanding my clients’ business goals and providing proactive solutions and advice to transform goals into tangible results. I have always been drawn to the real estate sphere, and love that my work involves not only investment and financial analysis, but also something tangible – a building that we can watch become part of the community.
My practice also includes campaign finance work. I represent and advise political organizations, trade associations, and committees in matters related to governance and compliance with campaign finance regulations on the state and federal level.
Outside of work, I enjoy good wine, traveling with my husband, spending time at my family cabin, and hitting the ski slopes in the winter.
