What is a Brownfield?

Attorney Chris Cerny will be presenting “What is a Brownfield?” as part of the Emerging Developers Workshop hosted by Minnesota Brownfields on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the Westwood Hills Nature Center. Chris will present at 10:15 – 10:45 am.

This year’s session will focus on financing for brownfield projects and the importance of due diligence, such as environmental assessments, for project financing. The session includes speakers from local and state government along with a panel of developers who have successfully redeveloped brownfield sites.

There is no cost to attend this event, thanks to a grant from the Opus Foundation, but registration is required. Registration closes on Thursday, October 1.
