The 2018 Midwest IP Institute

The 2018 Midwest IP Institute hosted by Minnesota Continuing Legal Education will take place in Minneapolis, MN on September 27-28, 2018. Trademark attorney Tim Sitzmann will speak on Thursday, September 27 on “The Year in Trademark Law: Noteworthy Decisions and Their Impact on Your Practice.” He and his co-presenters will discuss significant trademark decisions from the past year and their practical implications for in-house and outside counsel. Whether the cases involve restaurants, whiskey or rifle scopes, many of the cases involve in-depth discussion of affirmative defenses, from the First Amendment to laches, and fair use to functionality.
