My Approach
I help clients move their real estate transactions forward to a successful closing. No transaction is without obstacles, and I deliver value to clients by collaborating on solutions to any challenge. Having practiced in-house for several years, I understand how important communication is to a client, and everything I do is informed by that. Not only do I appreciate the importance of responsiveness, I also value the opportunity to get to know the clients I work with, whether that happens while discussing a particular transaction over the phone or meeting out of the office after work.
Outside of work, I go fly fishing as much as possible. More often I spend time with my wife and three young kids, exploring all that there is to do in the Twin Cities. I also enjoy biking and cooking, and though I’m not a gourmet chef by any stretch, I make a decent smoked brisket.

I represent residential and mixed use developers utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and Energy Tax Credits to finance projects.

- Closed more than 45 transactions representing just over $1.1 billion in development costs, including acquisitions, LIHTC new construction projects and resyndications, HTC rehabilitations, and refinancings
- Negotiating all forms of bond, debt and equity documents
- Drafting purchase agreements

- Drafting counsel opinion letters for lenders and equity investors
