My Approach
As a litigator, I am a problem solver. I enjoy working closely with my clients in and out of the courtroom to best position their businesses for success. Though I am first and foremost a zealous litigator who relishes the adversarial and competitive nature of litigation and taking matters all the way to trial, I recognize that the cost and risk associated with protracted, major litigation can make exploring early resolution an ideal option for many of my clients’ businesses. This does not mean caving, rather, engaging in thoughtful, fervent negotiation and obtaining a favorable outcome early in the case. There are several paths to success in litigation, I work hard to find the right one for my clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family in my hometown of St. Louis Park, being outdoors and active with our two dogs, and cheering on Minnesota sports teams.

My Experience
I represent clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation contexts, including actions involving breach of contract, civil fraud, business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, and class actions. My practice incorporates a particular emphasis on securities litigation and employment litigation, and also includes representations in the areas of commercial contracts and warranties, banking and finance, shareholder and limited partner disputes, energy, healthcare, and regulatory matters. My clients include both private and public companies and range in size from small, family-owned businesses to large, Fortune 500 companies. I work tirelessly for my clients to serve as an advisor and advocate both in and out of the courtroom.
Representative Matters
- Representation of outside directors of a public company in a major securities fraud class action involving allegations of accounting fraud, financial misrepresentations and omissions, and failure to disclose material transactions.
- Representation of broker dealers and registered investment advisors in numerous FINRA arbitrations.
- Representation of business and business owner in action involving allegations of securities fraud, breach of contract and equitable claims stemming from failed energy project.
- Representation of manufacturing and distribution company in action commenced by a principal industry-competitor involving allegations of breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference and equitable claims related to competing products in the market.
- Representation of manufacturing company in action involving allegations of breach of contract and breach of express and implied warranties stemming from alleged product failure.
- Representation of major restaurant franchises in numerous employment actions including allegations of wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation, and discrimination.
