I advise private companies and private equity funds of various sizes and industries in a wide range of M&A matters, largely in the middle market range, helping lead and drive the negotiation and transaction process in buy- and sell-side deals. I am involved in all aspects of the transactions, including but not limited to drafting and negotiating the purchase agreement, facilitating due diligence processes, conducting internal reorganizations when needed, and supporting post-closing transitions and integration, all while working closely with the client during the process.
My Approach
One of the most satisfying parts of my job as an M&A and corporate attorney is taking the time to develop close relationships with entrepreneurs, diving deep into their company’s workings, and understanding their business—past, present, and future. Each business has its own unique goals and challenges, and this relationship and knowledge I gain allows me to provide more comprehensive legal counsel and strategic advice and support, and helps me achieve the best possible outcome for my clients as their outside counsel and advisor.
In a transaction, I aim to develop practical solutions and work collaboratively with opposing counsel and parties to resolve problems while limiting issues and risks. I pride myself on being creative and flexible while working with all parties to find common ground and give my client the best deal possible. I draw on my strong work ethic and clear communication so that my clients can rely on me, while they focus on running their business.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, playing hockey, woodworking, and reading history books.
