I’m not the lawyer to argue for the sake of arguing – I work toward reasonable solutions.

I believe that the most important characteristic that I bring to my practice is a sense of empathy. I grew up surrounded by a wide variety of people and viewpoints, and from a young age learned to find ways to relate to others and to see different perspectives. I will always be a strong advocate for my clients, but I believe finding resolutions in complicated matters can be made easier by just trying to see where the other side stands.
I have wanted to be a lawyer as long as I can remember – I fell into speech and debate in school, and felt an immediate connection, but I am just as much drawn to the problem solving aspects of my practice. I am passionate about working with businesses to resolve disputes and help their businesses move forward.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing soccer and spending time with my two dogs. I also love to travel, especially if it means spending time on a beach.
I have experience representing clients in a variety of litigation, ranging from shareholder disputes to employment issues. Prior to entering private practice, I was a law clerk at the Washington County Attorney’s Office, where I gained valuable experience performing legal research and analysis, arguing on behalf of the state at hearings, and drafting briefs, complaints and memoranda of law.
I have experience handling disputes involving the following: non-competes, confidentiality and the Minnesota Uniform Trade Practices Act, franchise law, landlord tenant, trust and estates, healthcare involving HIPAA and the Minnesota and Federal peer review statute, and shareholders in closely held corporations.
