On Dec. 1, the Minnesota Management and Budget projected an $876 million state budget surplus for Minnesota (Inside the Minnesota Capitol). This was a surprise to state lawmakers, and the public. Tom, the former Minnesota Management and Budget commissioner, is well-versed in this subject, and talked with KARE 11’s Karla Hult on the 10 p.m. news on Thursday, Dec. 1.
