My Approach

Government can serve an important role in helping people and businesses, but it can also get in the way and impose unexpected or unintentional difficulties. I help clients navigate their way through the politics, process, and relationships to achieve the best outcomes.

I have always had an interest in politics and a passion for helping people. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to be able to work on issues that span nearly every jurisdictional area to better the lives of people and to help businesses thrive.

A Groundbreaking Moment in My Career

On my very first day working in government relations, I was told: “The only thing you have of value in this job is your integrity. If you lose that, you may as well go home now.” That sentiment grounds me as I strive to bring my best forward every day, in how I treat people,in how I build relationships, and in how I serve my clients. I continually seek ways to work with people even when we’re at odds in order to benefit my clients and our shared community.

I represent clients in working through the entirety of the legislative process to guide them towards success. For more than two decades, I have led public policy agendas, including drafting legislation, educating legislators and staff, and ushering legislation through the legislative process. This includes finding authors, securing hearings and floor votes, testifying, and using my understanding of the legislative process to benefit my clients, including using innovative strategies when needed.
