MINNEAPOLIS – June 9, 2026. Winthrop & Weinstine is proud to announce that shareholder Tom Boyd has been recognized as a 2026 “Notable Litigation & Trial Attorneys” honoree by Twin Cities Business. This recognition celebrates local litigation and trial attorneys with invaluable “depth of knowledge and judgment” – qualities that Tom has in spades.
For nearly 40 years, Tom has built a distinguished litigation and trial practice, earning significant trial and appellate victories that have shaped Minnesota and national law, and mentoring generations of attorneys and other legal professionals along the way. Tom is widely respected for his contributions to the legal profession and appellate practice, more specifically, serving in leadership roles with numerous organizations, including the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, the American Law Institute, the Minnesota Board of Law Examiners, and the American Bar Association.
In addition to his legal practice, Tom is deeply committed to preserving the history and civic impact of the law, serving on the Board of Directors for the Ramsey County Historical Society, the Minnesota Supreme Court Historical Society, and the Historical Society of the United States Courts in the Eighth Circuit.
Through his leadership, mentorship, skill, and service, Tom has made a lasting impact on the legal community, and Winthrop is honored to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
