MINNEAPOLIS — October 7, 2025. Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., is pleased to announce that Kyle R. Kroll, shareholder in the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation practice, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure. Kyle was appointed to the Committee by Chief Justice Natalie E. Hudson, where he will serve a three-year term.
The Committee, chaired by The Honorable Jon Schmidt, is comprised of appellate judges, practicing lawyers, law professors, and high-level officials from the judicial branch, and its role is to monitor and advise the Minnesota Supreme Court on potential amendments to the appellate rules.
Kyle represents clients across a wide range of industries in high-stakes, complex cases, with a focus on corporate disputes, intellectual property issues, regulatory matters, and appellate actions. In addition to his role on the Advisory Committee, Kyle serves as the Chair of the Appellate Practice Section Council of the Minnesota State Bar Association, is the National Council Delegate for the Minnesota Chapter to the Federal Bar Association, and he is a member of the Education Committee of the Eighth Circuit Bar Association, among other organizational involvement. He is also generous in giving of his time and talents – frequently speaking, publishing, and volunteering for organizations locally and nationally.
