Minneapolis/St. Paul KnowledgeNet Celebrates Data Privacy Day

Winthrop & Weinstine and Data Privacy & Security attorney Nadeem Schwen will host the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) for their first gathering of the year to celebrate Data Privacy Day on January 28, 2020.

Data Privacy Legislation Q&A and Happy Hour

Please join us and IAPP’s Minneapolis/St. Paul KnowledgeNet Chapter in celebration of Data Privacy Day 2020. Come hear from three Minnesota state legislators who have been on the front lines of the data privacy debate in Minnesota. The presentation will include a presentation by the author of HF 2917, a data privacy bill that would govern processing of personal data by companies that do business in Minnesota. There will also be a legislative panel where attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the implications of the bill and the future of Minnesota data privacy legislation.
