Counsel

Timothy E. Marx

I work to bring people together to advance an economically vital and socially just society.

My Approach

I went to law school because I aspired to public service, which I have sought to integrate into all of the roles I have had in the private sector,  government, and in nonprofits. Each experience has broadened my perspective, deepened my knowledge, and built long-lasting relationships that allows me to make contributions in my current role.

I enjoy being part of a team which works together on major effort—a real estate development, a public policy initiative, a social enterprise—which requires integrating and balancing legal, policy, financial, and community perspectives. These efforts can foster public/private partnerships that enhance economic vitality and social well-being.

Outside of the office, volunteering is still very much a part of my life, and I enjoy spending  time outdoors  with my wife, adult children, grandkids, and friends. We love running, biking and tennis, and enjoying the vibrancy, arts and culture of our Twin Cities community.
