I have experience researching complex legal topics and providing analysis, writing motions and briefs. I was also fortunate to recently argue before the Court of Appeals for a pro bono case through the Pro Se Project.
My Approach
To win in litigation is to be the hardest worker in the room. And to work hard for someone else’s benefit is to truly help them. Legal representation should have a personal touch—expect a handwritten thank you note at some point. I believe satisfaction at work comes from seeing the results of one’s labor; I appreciate each individual victory, bringing us one step closer to achieving the client’s overall goal. Their gain is my gain. I find litigation intellectually stimulating, diving deep into complex, untested issues upon which an entire case often rests.
Outside of work, I love exploring Minneapolis for its ideal balance of access to nature and city life. I enjoy spending time outdoors (having kayaked from Itasca to St. Louis), attending sports, traveling, and planning new experiences with friends. And say hello if you see me singing at a karaoke bar near you.
