As a litigation associate at Winthrop, my experience extends to a variety of substantive areas of law. Primarily, my projects have focused on employment litigation, trusts and estates litigation, and construction litigation, though I have been involved with cases in virtually every major practice group that our firm historically covers. I also regularly write client updates on current legal happenings in these subject areas; see my LinkedIn for these regular postings.
My Approach
To win in litigation is to be the hardest worker in the room. No stone can be left unchecked; every procedural, substantive, and moral consideration must be thoroughly investigated and scrutinized to survey potential strategies. Our clients trust us with these granular legal details so they can continue to make high-level business decisions. I find litigation intellectually stimulating, diving deep into complex, untested issues upon which an entire case often rests.
Outside of work, you can find me exploring downtown Minneapolis or retreating into nature. I love trying new activities – recently experimented with glass blowing, standup comedy, dog sledding, international travel, and attending as many Timberwolves games as possible. Having recently kayaked from Lake Itasca to St. Louis, I’m always looking for the next adventure.
