Prior to joining Winthrop, I interned for a local construction company. There, I worked directly with the General Counsel to review construction-related agreements, analyze statutory questions, and participate in robust and complex discovery and other fact gathering efforts. This experience taught me that accountability, time management, organization, and a willingness to dig in and find a solution are at the heart of good legal practice. I apply all of these soft skills, as well as the technical experience I gained through this internship, to my work, my clients, and all of the matters I support.
Outside the office, I like to try new restaurants and even have a running list of my favorite local ice cream shops (ask me about it!). I also love sports and am a big Michigan football fan.
I represent real estate owners, developers and tax credit investors in development and financing matters, including the use of tax credits, with a focus on multifamily low-income housing development and finance. I have experience drafting and reviewing purchase agreements, preparing organizational documents, conducting title and survey review, and assisting with legal opinion letters.
