I have always loved to learn, and the value of education was instilled in me from a very young age. One of the greatest aspects of being a lawyer is that it allows me to continue learning every single day. Each client has a unique situation, with a unique way to apply and interpret the law. It requires me to be both analytical and creative, and find solutions where the two meet.
In representing business owners, I bring a perspective that is different from that of the stereotypical lawyer – working full time while attending school in order to be able to pay rent, I know what it’s like to give everything you have to achieve your goals. I bring that tenacity to work every single day to help my clients succeed.
Outside of work, I love to spend time outdoors with my two dogs. I love playing and writing piano music, and enjoying family movie night with my husband.
I represent clients in litigation matters, with experience ranging from real estate and construction to employment law. I have experience in legal analysis, brief writing, hearings, and discovery.
I work as a part of the team that assists clients in connection with construction and real estate matters. I have experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants on a wide range of matters that includes simple breach of construction agreements, slander of title actions, and mechanic’s liens actions.
Member of the trial team that successfully won a $2.6 million judgment for a solar energy developer against a subcontractor that failed to provide adequate labor, failed to provide materials and failed to keep the project free from liens. The defendant also countersued, alleging claims of breach of contract and tortious interference of contract. The court found in favor of our client on all counts, and awarded damages and attorney’s fees and costs.
Representation of a client in connection with the sale of a parcel of land that involves a property line dispute.
Representation of a real estate developer client in a contract dispute involving in which a contractor represented himself as our client’s manager, and used that title to retain contractors and amend contracts on our client’s behalf without authorization, leading to litigation. The defendants counterclaimed for breach of the LLC’s Operating Agreement, demand for accounting and records, and demand for liquidation and appointment of a receiver. Our team drafted a motion to dismiss those claims, and as a result, without filing a response and without any oral argument, defendants conceded and agreed to voluntarily dismiss the claims of the individual defendant.
Representation of a real estate developer in securing a voluntary dismissal of our client from a lawsuit filed against them and others involved in an affordable housing development in Colorado.
Representation of a surveyor client named as third-party defendant in a slander of title action; plaintiffs asserted that our clients improperly determined the boundary line of certain property. The matter settled favorably for our client.
