I represent clients in the renewable energy industry on a variety of transactional matters. I help developer clients acquire property for solar and battery-storage projects and assists with the sale of early-stage solar energy projects. I shepherd lenders and tax credit investors through due diligence review for project-level financing. I also represent a large-scale battery supplier in transactions with IPPs and utilities.
My Approach
I had a less than traditional path to the law, and the skills I learned along the way deeply inform my approach to the law, representation of clients, and collaborating on a team. Relationships are at the core of any business transaction or goal, and from my time in the service industry, I developed a taste for relationship-building and anticipating client needs. From my time as an opera singer (ask me about it!) I learned about collaboration and working as part of a team to produce something exceptional. And from my experiences clerking in law school, I caught the bug for transactional work, where I can positively counsel my clients through their endeavors from the beginning. I love getting to exercise those parts of my background every day.
I came to energy work through relationships and curiosity. I gained secondhand exposure to the energy industry through close personal relationships, and caught the bug to practice law in that space once I realized how complex, dynamic, and critical that area of law is to people’s lives. I’m thrilled to be a part of helping our clients move us toward a greener future.
Outside of work, my husband and I like to hang out and hike with our very active dog. Music-making continues to be a part of my life, and I love continuing to support the arts on the other side of the proscenium.
