I have been fortunate to be a member of some successful sports teams in my career, and I have learned that there’s more to a great team than just a bunch of people who are skilled in various ways. To be a truly successful team requires understanding, respect, and unity in a common goal. Litigation, in many ways, is a team sport, requiring the highest level of dedication and trust of numerous people, all working together achieve a successful outcome. It takes creativity, a willingness to look beyond the answers that were there before, and continually asking questions to push toward creating a solution. That is the perspective that I bring to my practice for clients – I work my hardest every day to unravel complexities, and be a part of the team that helps clients achieve their business goals.
Outside of work, I try to get outside as much as I can. I love to play golf, pickleball, and take my dog hunting in the fall. I also enjoy going out to the movies when I can. My wife and I attend River Valley church in Eagan and have enjoyed getting to know more people there and becoming more involved in the church.
I represent clients in all aspects of business and commercial litigation. My representation has ranged from obtaining a default judgment in a creditors/remedies dispute to drafting motions for summary judgment in complex insurance matters. Specifically my focus is on real estate, construction, and financial services matters.
Prior to joining the firm, I served as a Law Clerk at the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office, where I got the opportunity gain firsthand knowledge of the court system, including questioning witnesses in a trial, handling numerous hearings, performing extensive research, and drafting memoranda and briefs.
