I represent developers, investors and lenders in utilizing tax credits, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits and New Markets Tax Credits to finance affordable housing developments, rehabilitate historic structures and help promote community development in under-resourced areas. I regularly assist clients with purchase agreements, conveyance documents, construction contracts, organizational documents, land issues, loan documents, equity documents, due diligence and other matters.
My Approach
As an attorney, the greatest qualities one can possess are the ability to ask questions, and the patience to listen to the answers. In a typical transaction, I help clients move from initial due diligence through closing, and tend to any post-closing matters including tax credit allocation. It is paramount to keep my clients’ goals in mind to make sure we are handling everything needed to close on a transaction and have successful outcome for a project. I frequently reference my financial services background when working on projects to help inform many of the situations in which I advise my clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family.
