My Approach

I’ve always had a math-based mind; I love numbers and formulas, and finding creative ways to make all the sides add up. But even more than that, I love finding ways for those numbers to add up in my clients’ favor, giving them the ability to pursue new and innovative lines of research, and bring fresh ideas to the table. Each client, situation and development is different, and I appreciate being able to help blend both my tax incentive experience with my patent prosecution experience to help clients maximize value.

One of my favorite aspects of my role is simply talking to people – through my responsibilities I get to learn so much from subject matter experts, engineers, and others working deep in the development of some of the most creative industries. I lean heavily on my background in chemistry and forensic science to help facilitate conversation between the economic development offices providing credits and those innovative minds.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, son, and entire family. We have a Siberian Husky who has a lot of energy, and I volunteer as an assistant varsity softball coach for a local high school team. It’s important to me to play an active role in the legal community as well as my local community, serving on boards and volunteering my time where I can.
