I work with banks, financial institutions, and commercial lenders on a variety of commercial lending and financing matters. My experience includes working within the legal department of a major national bank, where I researched commercial lending, bankruptcy, and commercial transactions, analyzed corporate agreements, and collaborated with in-house attorneys and outside counsel on legal and transactional matters. I bring a practical, business-minded perspective to helping clients structure transactions, address potential challenges, and move deals forward.
My Approach
With a background in economics and experience working across a variety of legal settings, I understand that successful legal counsel requires more than technical knowledge. It requires understanding the people behind the transactions, the business objectives driving their decisions, and the challenges they face along the way. I strive to be a trusted resource for my clients, helping them navigate complex legal issues with clarity, confidence, and a practical path forward.
Having worked in private practice, in-house and governmental legal departments, and transactional settings, I bring a well-rounded perspective on the legal and business considerations that shape commercial transactions. I enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems, anticipate potential obstacles, and keep transactions moving toward the finish line. Above all, I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of effective legal counsel, and I take pride in being approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in my clients’ success.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, watching movies, reading, and catching up on the latest television shows. I recently started playing chess and have been working to sharpen my skills. I also enjoy getting out to support the Timberwolves, Lynx, and any of Minnesota’s other sports teams.
