My Approach

I never expected that studying Spanish would so directly contribute to my legal education. However, I have found that reaching for fluency in another language enabled me to step outside my own head and perspective, and see a different point of view. This training is one of my most valuable tools as a lawyer – to see beyond my own experience, analyze a problem from other angles, see other parties’ paths, and find the places where all of our goals converge. I enjoy using that creativity to translate complex legal issues into simple solutions for my clients, so that we can focus on getting the deal done.

Outside of work, I like to get outside with my partner and our dog – hiking and biking are our current favorites. I also can’t resist a great thrift flip, and love to fix up clothes and furniture that have seen better days.
