During law school, I spent time as a law clerk with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). Through that experience, I researched and drafted memoranda on a variety of administrative and environmental legal issues, with an emphasis on CWA permits and CAA violations. I bring this experience to my current role, where I represent renewable energy developers, lenders, and tax credit investors on a wide range of transactional matters.
My Approach
I’ve always had an interest in environmental and renewable energy work, which was reinforced throughout my undergraduate and law school experiences. In school, I had the opportunity to work on an Environmental Impact Statement and later was fortunate to clerk for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). This hands-on experience informs my current legal practice and allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level, as someone who understands not only their project and end-goals, but the potential legal and administrative hurdles to get there. I approach these challenges by seeking common ground and finding advantageous solutions for my clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and getting out in nature as often as I can. I love the outdoors – particularly being on or near water and tending to my growing fruit trees.
