My Approach

Working with entrepreneurs actively involved in their business is extremely gratifying. In fact, it’s one of the reasons that I love working with closely held businesses and their owners. There is so much pressure that comes with owning, operating and sustaining a successful business and supporting employees – it can consume all of their time and energy, and they are still left feeling that they should be doing more. I work with my clients to partner with them on finding solutions to their problems. In my role as an advisor, I do whatever I can to make their lives easier so they can focus on their business. Whether that means navigating a complicated M&A transaction through to completion, handling legal, tax and compliance issues to make sure the business is protected, or serving as outside general counsel, I have a deep and profound respect for the trust that my clients put in me to solve their problems.

I’m grateful to have worked with businesses in so many contexts, from working on accounting and tax issues as a CPA, to day-to-day corporate legal matters, to mergers, acquisitions and other transactional work. This has allowed me to gain experience and confidence to handle any issues that may arise.

Outside of work you’ll probably find me with my four kids in hockey rinks, on lacrosse and football fields, and at dance competitions. I also make sure to find some extra spare time to get on the golf course!
