I’ve always been drawn to the art of navigating conflicts, particularly those that demand clarity, require composure, and necessitate strategy. Drawing on my foundation in banking provides me with perspective when clients are confronting financial disputes or difficult credit situations. I understand that for creditors, the legal issues at play form only part of the equation. A greater goal remains: finding a path forward that protects their position, preserves value, and accomplishes progress.
Before becoming an attorney, I worked in the banking industry. While in law school, I advised community banks across Minnesota on the legal and regulatory developments from a transformative legislative session. Combined with my litigation background, I evaluate matters from multiple angles, communicate complex issues clearly, and keep the focus on execution. Whether a matter calls for negotiation, a practical resolution, or litigation, I am persistent in pursuing the best available outcome while remaining mindful of the business considerations driving the client’s decisions.
Outside of work, I value spending time with my family and friends. I can often be found on the golf course, taking in a game for one of the four major Minnesota sports teams, or bettering myself in the gym.
I represent financial institutions, lenders, and other creditors in matters involving creditors’ rights, loan enforcement, workouts, and other financially distressed situations. My foundation in the banking industry continues to inform me as I guide clients in assessing their options, developing an effective strategy, and pursuing the best path forward to protect their interests and maximize recovery.
