My Approach

I love tax law and its potential to shape a fair and functional society. To me, tax is a uniquely pro-social area of law, balancing complexity and taxpayer flexibility to advance the common good. With that complexity comes pitfalls for the unwary; my job is to help clients navigate a challenging and rapidly changing landscape to emerge with the economic benefit of their bargain. Regardless of whether I partner with developers, lenders, or investors in renewable energy projects, I’m grateful knowing that my skills are used to benefit communities and advance a carbon-neutral future.

Outside of work, I try to keep active (inline skating and longsword are my go-to’s), but you’ll most likely find me cooking, trying new restaurants, or singing with the Minnesänger choir in St. Paul.
