I represent financial institutions and creditors in all types of bankruptcy and work-out matters, including foreclosure proceedings and replevin litigation. I also have significant experience liquidating consumer, commercial, and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) (including 7(a) and 504 loans) and Fannie Mae (FNMA) loans, and preparing SBA litigation plans, loan modification documents, and satisfactions and releases of liens. I’m comfortable navigating complex financial problems and data sets and enjoy using that technical information to paint a clear and concrete picture for my clients and the court.
My Approach
For me, interacting with the legal system is personal. Having been the victim of a drunk driver and the plaintiff in my own personal injury matter, I am intimately familiar with the challenges of navigating the legal process and the stress of having so much at stake – I’ve been there. Although the substance of the underlying law I practice may differ from my own situation, I strive to bring clarity and a calm, practical outlook to my clients during times that can often feel intimidating, overwhelming, and stressful.
While business analytics and relationship building may seem like opposite ends of a spectrum, together, they form two of my greatest strengths and are at the forefront of what I bring to my clients every day. Prior to practicing law, I built, implemented and oversaw company-wide operations for an organization in the wedding and event planning industry. Through this experience, I was able to build meaningful connections while simultaneously flexing my problem-solving prowess. Event planners are some of the most solutions-oriented, nimble, and creative individuals among us! Today, my clients can count on me to serve as a trustworthy, steadfast advisor who is comfortable navigating complex financial situations and adapting to challenges and issues as they arise, whether predictable or unforeseen.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the twin cities food scene and spending time outdoors. You can often find me hiking or taking my dog for a long walk. I also love to travel (particularly to new states), and I make a point to tour as many state Capitol buildings as I can when I visit.
