Counsel

Erin D. Jones

I don’t have a traditional practice, but my clients aren’t traditional people.

My Approach

I love the work I do because I get to help my clients find success and, at the same time, do something that benefits the community. The affordable housing industry is an excellent example of public elements, through the tax credits and government‑based funding, and private elements, through developers and investors, coming together to meet critical needs in communities. Many people outside of the field have a different idea of affordable housing – they think of run-down high rises that you spot from a mile away – but that’s not what my clients do. They invest in deals that look good, are safe and well built, and allow people to live in areas that they normally wouldn’t be able to afford. That’s a driver for me, and I am fortunate that I can use my affinity for tax and accounting to help clients realize those goals.

Outside of work, I run – not well or fast, but I enjoy it – and love cooking, reading, and quirky movies.
