I represent a broad range of clients, including banks, private equity firms, REITs, and other alternative lenders, in commercial, construction, and real estate lending transactions, and mezzanine financing. I also have experience in loan sales, loan modification and restructuring transactions, and commercial property acquisitions and dispositions.
My Approach
Graduating from law school during a period of historically low interest rates and a booming real estate market helped to solidify my interest in commercial lending, particularly on the real estate-side. From the start of my legal career, I found myself surrounded by fast-paced transactions, developers looking to source financing for their next, big project, and the opportunity to play a role (no matter the size) in helping substantial transactions come to life. With every deal I’m a part of, I strive to master the details while always keeping the bigger picture, your end goals and desired outcomes, front and center.
While today’s market looks a bit different than it did when I initially began practicing law, opportunity is still out there. I enjoy being able to think creatively and to help my clients structure an efficient deal that makes sense. Not every creative solution will be the right solution, and I’m here to find the best solution for my clients – the one that best protects your interests.
Outside the office, I’m a Minnesota sports fan (particularly the Wild) and I enjoy catching a game whenever I can. I also try to spend as much time outside as I can; you’ll often find me boating with my family on the St. Croix River or taking my goldendoodle, Anakin, for a walk around Minneapolis.
