My Approach
I assist the human resources department with employee benefits and relations, recruiting, hiring and internal firm events. I serve as a liaison for law schools in Minnesota and around the country, and coordinate and schedule interviews with law school students and lateral attorney candidates. As employees are hired, I coordinate training schedules between multiple departments within the firm. I also work with employee benefits vendors (i.e., life insurance, medical insurance, etc.) to help employees with enrollment changes and concerns regarding their specific benefits.
In addition, I serve as a liaison between employees and other internal departments, assisting the HR department with employee relations, including communicating and coordinating with the accounting department in relation to benefits and payroll matters. I manage firm functions like monthly internal “meet and greets,” birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, summer picnics, the annual holiday party, attorney retreat, attorney golf outing, and staff appreciation week. I also assist the marketing department with external events as needed.
