Holly A. Stocker has a broad commercial lending and real estate practice in which she assists lenders, investors and developers in commercial loan transactions of all kinds including real estate and construction loans, tax credit bridge loans and secured transactions. Her transactions often include:

  • New markets tax credits
  • Federal and state historic tax credits
  • Low income housing tax credits
  • Energy credits
  • Tax increment financing
  • Tax exempt bonds
  • CDBG funds

As part of her practice, she has:

  • Represented financial institutions in providing loans or equity investments to projects involving federal and state new markets tax credits, federal and state historic tax credits, renewable energy credits, tax increment financing and multiple combinations thereof;
  • Represented developers in projects involving federal and state historic tax credits, federal and state new markets fax credits;
  • Represented allocatees and sub-CDEs in various new markets tax credit transactions including several small loan pools;
  • Represented a food cooperative in a new markets tax credit transaction that provided financing to open a grocery store in a food desert;
  • Represented banks in providing loans to projects involving low-income housing tax credits;
  • Represented developers and investors of solar energy projects and wind energy projects

In addition to her legal practice, Holly is a passionate and active member of the firm’s Diversity Committee, and mentors law school students through the firm’s Minority Mentorship Program. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota, and volunteers regularly for MEDA, or the Metropolitan Economic Development Association, an organization whose mission is to help entrepreneurs of color succeed.
