Catherine M. Cumming is an associate in the Real Estate practice. Prior to joining Winthrop & Weinstine, Katie served as a Deputy Clerk of Court to the Honorable Susan Gherty at the Hudson Municipal Court in Hudson, WI, and also served as a legal intern for the St. Croix River Association in St. Croix Falls, WI.

Katie earned her J.D., from the University of Minnesota Law School and was on the Dean’s List.  While at the University of Minnesota, Katie was the Lead Note and Comment Editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology, as well as author of the article “The Hydropower Regulatory Efficiency Act: Not Giving a Dam for Negative Externalities or Stakeholder Oversight.” She earned her B.A., in Philosophy from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO where she also ran Division I track & field and cross country.

In her spare time, she enjoys trail running, horseback riding, fly fishing, and volunteering with MyTeamTriumph.
