Two Winthrop & Weinstine Lawyers Named Minnesota “Attorneys of the Year”
Minneapolis, MN — December 15, 2014. Winthrop &
Weinstine is pleased to announce that two of its attorneys have been selected
as 2014 “Attorneys of the Year” by Minnesota
Lawyer. Craig S. Krummen and Tiffany A. Blofield have joined the select
group of attorneys throughout the state who have distinguished themselves
through exemplary work.
In addition, Minnesota
Lawyer will present the Circle of Excellence award, which honors those who
have been Attorneys of the Year multiple times, to Craig Krummen, who was
previously named as an “Attorney of the Year” in 2010.
Honorees were chosen based on leadership in the profession,
involvement in major cases, other newsworthy events, excellence in corporate or
transactional services and public service.
“The dedication that Craig and Tiffany have to their
profession and community shines through in everything they do,” said Scott
Dongoske, firm president. “We congratulate them on this honor, and thank them for
all of their contributions.”
This year’s honorees will be profiled in the Attorneys of the Year magazine, during
an awards dinner on February 19, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown
Craig S. Krummen’s practice focuses on intellectual
property litigation and complex commercial litigation. During his legal career,
he has tried many cases and represented numerous high-profile clients,
including many nationally renowned companies.
Tiffany A. Blofield focuses her litigation practice in
the areas of intellectual property and commercial litigation. Her commercial
litigation experience includes a variety of contract disputes, Uniform
Commercial Code matters, bank litigation, product liability and shareholder
disputes, among others. She is also known for her work in settling disputes
both before and after a lawsuit is filed.
Recently, Krummen and Blofield prevailed on behalf of
a client wrongly accused of everything from fraud to racketeering by one of its
vendors. The suit resulted in a jury’s complete exoneration of their client on
liability, ending a $3 million damages claim, and allowing the client’s $2
million damages claim against its accusers to proceed. The accusers subsequently
decided to settle rather than defend against the claim, resulting in a total
victory for Mr. Krummen’s and Ms. Blofield’s client.
