Minneapolis, MN – May 28, 2013. Aimée Dayhoff, a shareholder at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A.,  has been named as one of the “50 Women in Business” by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. This annual list recognizes 50 women in the Twin Cities community who have demonstrated exemplary professional achievements, leadership qualities and contributions to the community.

Aimée is a member of Winthrop & Weinstine’s Business & Commercial Litigation Group.  As a business litigator, Aimée represents and counsels both individuals and companies in a variety of business-related disputes.  Aimée has significant experience in litigating cases involving, among others, breach of contract, breach of warranty, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims in both federal and state court.  In the past several years, to meet client needs, Aimée expanded her practice to include representation of financial institutions in mortgage-related litigation.

This past year, she co-chaired a trial in federal court in which she and a colleague obtained  a $9.9 million jury verdict for a major boat manufacturer in a complex breach-of-warranty case against a Turkish wooden-yacht builder.

Aimée is not only an active leader in the courtroom, but at the firm and in the community as well.  She serves as a firm representative for the Law Firm Alliance, a network of law firms located throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the European Union. In the community, she is currently serving a four-year term on the Minnesota Humanities Center Board of Directors, and she also serves as the Chair of its Communications Committee. Aimée is a member of the Minnesota Zoo Board of Directors and its Governance Committee, and she is actively involved with the Women’s Leadership Council, a United Way affinity group comprised of women business leaders and philanthropists whose mission is to provide much-needed funds for early childhood education.
