What Will Happen to Constuction Projects if the Minnesota Government Shuts Down? Tom Hanson Comments

Winthrop & Weinstine lobbyist and former commissioner of the Minnesota Management & Budget Tom Hanson commented on what highway contractors will face with a possible government shutdown. In “Highway contractors working overtime as shutdown looms,” the Finance & Commerce author explores what might happen when the Minnesota government shutdowns, most likely putting off construction until next year.

Tom has been quoted in many recent articles relating to the shutdown because of his extensive past experience as Tim Pawlenty’s former deputy chief of staff, top finance officer and MMB commissioner. Hanson was also a party to the private meetings leading up to the shutdown in 2005.
