Minneapolis, MN – March 14, 2011
. Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., litigator Christianna L. Finnern has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a 2011 “Up & Coming Attorney.” In its eleventh year, this award identifies those Minnesota attorneys who have distinguished themselves during their first ten years of practice. Criteria for selection include leadership, professional accomplishment and service to the legal community. The 25 honorees were chosen by Minnesota Lawyer's editorial staff based on nominations from law firms, legal associations, previous award recipients and other members of the state bar.

This year’s Up & Coming Attorneys will be featured in a special section in Minnesota Lawyer in May and during an awards luncheon on May 11, 2011, in downtown Minneapolis.

Christianna has substantial litigation experience, including first-chair trial experience, as well as specific expertise in title insurance claims and coverage matters. Since joining the firm, she has counseled and advocated on behalf of clients in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts in Minnesota and other states around the country. She has represented individuals, small and large businesses, insurance companies, employers and lenders to help achieve the results they seek and is known for helping clients to solve problems in a collegial yet tenacious and aggressive manner.

In the community, Christianna has been actively involved with Dress for Success, organizing several clothing drives, and the American Heart Association. A classically trained singer, she also lends her voice to many events held within her church.

She received her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law and her B.A. from Wartburg College. Christianna lives in Edina with her husband, also an attorney, and their children.

Christianna joins a notable group of honorees, including Winthrop & Weinstine attorneys Tammera R. Diehm, Aimée D. Dayhoff, Jeffrey J. Koerselman, and Megan M. Ruwe.
