Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., attorney Eric F. Swanson will be a speaker at the 22nd annual all-day CLE seminar "Administrative Law: Anatomy of  a Contested Hearing," sponsored by the Office of the Attorney General. Presentations will address such topics as commencement (and avoidance) of contested cases; pre-hearing practice; the administrative law hearing and how it compares to a civil hearing; fact finding from the ALJs’ perspective; the final decision making process, including conflict issues; judicial appellate review, and local government hearing issues. Eric, a former employee of the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, will be speaking on “The Hearing: Practitioners’ Perspectives,” with Leonard Street and Deinard attorney Byron E. Starns.
